FMA’s internationally loved serial drama Neighbours is forging new ground, with news today the series will commence screening on Canada’s LGBTIQ network OUTtv from April 24.

Ramsay Street welcomed a regular gay character in 2010 with the introduction of Chris Pappas played by Melbourne actor James Mason and followed by Meyne Wyatt playing Nate Kinski.

Currently there are three LGBTQ regular characters in series played by Matt Wilson, Takaya Honda and long-time Ramsay Street favourite Carla Bonner, along with recurring guest characters played by Claudia Greenstone and Louise Crawford.

“Our quest always is for Neighbours to be a reflection of our community in terms of diversity and acceptance, and focus on what should be our ‘normal’ as we go about our lives,” said Jason Herbision, Executive Producer, Neighbours. “We are absolutely thrilled that viewers in Canada will be able to experience all our characters on OUTtv,”

OUTtv will be in-line with Neighbours episodes screening here and on Channel 5 in the UK.
